Coincidences.

As an exorcist, you won't always be "called out" to a case, often it is up to you to "spot" the dark and demonic. This is a big part of being an exorcist and a skill that must be developed. Today I'll cover a small part of that in this article- coincidences. Often, if there is a third tier demon (one that acts not through one person but either on it's own as a spiritual entity or  through a large group of people) they often work in a pattern. They lavish this, the more of one type of event created the greater the cumulative energy becomes. They also lavish and greed for "spooky similarities" between events and on numerological sequences.  What this means is that the exorcist can catch out these entities by spotting a pattern between events early, so as to predict where the next one will be and thus have a time and place to engage the demon and apprehend it. Now this is suddenly becoming much more real isn't it? This means that th

The kit of a consulting exorcist.

Recently, a lot of people asked me what the basic kit for an exorcist is? You wanted an answer and now- you have one! Enjoy XD Although there are a few essentials that need to be bought, from my experience there is not a whole lot you need, as cliche as it sounds- your mind genuinely is your most valuable asset. Again, it also depends on the job at hand because often for a "specific" case "specific" things will be needed. For example, if you are working in say, a Ugandan household and it is a hoodoo attack that you are dealing with, holding a crucifix and shouting at the top of your lungs "THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!" will not help. At all. It never helps but that's just a side point... When dealing with a demon one must take into account the "background" of the demon and the culture from which it was born (Often, Demons are created through the fear of their existence). For example,  it is obvious that a christian demon is best dea

The internal struggle of the exorcist.

I think all exorcists, battle mages, psychic questers etc. can agree on one thing. The struggle between heroism/duty and personal safety. This is because from one point of view you want to help everyone who needs the help but from the other point of view- an Exorcist is no use to anyone if he/she is dead. This is why it is important not to jump straight into this, but to gain experience in other area's of magic to develop your  way of thinking. I guess it's kinda like the US gun debate. Both sides are correct and both sides are totally opposite. Think about it, you're in the situation where you are called out by say, an entire group of people that have got themselves into deep Demonic Doo Doo. They look at you, with the very maxima of disparity in their eyes- their lives hang in the balance. So you go out, do your assessment, these demons are not just possessing, they have such a strong presence that you may have to engage them in person, face to face (them in spirit)

Why learn other magic as opposed to just studying exorcism?

To the experienced exorcist, this question has two immediate reactions- firstly it is a ridiculous question and we have to suppress the urge to burst out into hysterical laughter. From the other perspective, we've all been there at one point or another, that is called being a seeker and it is completely acceptable to ask silly questions at that point. Well, why is it important? Firstly, in every  magical path there are three basic things that the apprentice learns. These are centering, grounding and shielding. Centering is essential, it is the practice of gathering all your Kia (internal energy) into one place in your body so that you can quickly move it to where it is needed. This is an especially useful technique if you're caught off guard and attacked or in an emergency situation and you can do this quickly (easier said than done). Grounding is linking yourself to the earth, it is useful for exorcists for a myriad of reasons. Firstly and most obviously, your not going

Possession VS Puberty.

So, the other day I got a call out in the middle of writing a paper so of course, I welcomed the opportunity to leave my desk! This was a call out by a women who was hysterically screaming down the phone that her daughter was possessed by a Demon. The reason, her daughter's voice had changed and while they were arguing she brought up things that the mother had "not told a soul". I was skeptical to say the least but I did ask the basic questions such as "when did this start?" and "has her appearance changed?" etc. etc. Here she replied that this had been going on for almost a year now and that her appearance has "changed beyond recognition". Rolling my eyes I got the address (luckily it was local), got my kit and headed over. When I got there, all hell had broken loose. Things were being thrown, the girl was screaming- she was 13 years old and having what appeared to be an excessively loud tantrum. I took the mother outside and spoke to he

My Coven.

Here I am again, in the waiting room well... waiting. Waiting to start work. In Liber Null it is said that to do work in the "robotic" state of mind is good because it free's up a part of your brain to focus on matters of a more complex nature. Well, I'd like to see him do my job and be happy about it ha ha XD I'm only joking, I love my job really- I feel very fortunate to have it. The reason I bring this up is because it is all the money I am earning from this job which is going to fund my coven. In my own time I am an exorcist, although right now I am currently engaged in research as opposed to call outs, but in other time I am the leader of my coven, which in itself proves an interesting challenge. Although I have only just started as the Coven Leader I am learning a lot. In fact it is a very steep learning curve- an opportunity I am very grateful to Master Aurelia for giving me, I am learning a lot. I'm learning to things mainly, how to lead and how

A humble beginning.

So, I'm guessing your first question is what this blog is all about, well I'll keep the explanation brief. This blog I am writing is about my journey through the winding, wacky and crazy path of magic, how it has led me to this moment and how I am moving forward on my path as an exorcist. Around 6 months ago, the order of which I was part- crumbled. Long story that I won't go into now. Anyway, I was left alone and stranded. Some readers may understand what I mean by feeling stranded, for those who don't, it is basically feeling washed up upon a beach, the ship which has been your life  has sunk, but you survived on this beach and you need to somehow find your path again. I sincerely hope that no one has to experience this, it is the worst situation imaginable. It took me some time to re-adjust. I was training to become an exorcist within my order and then it fell apart all around me. That was the first time in my life I turned to divinity (apart from re-balancing o
